I am pregnant, can I ride?

While Harlem Rocket is not a high-speed thrill ride, and does not intentionally make rapid turns, we advise pregnant customers to consider their condition when making a decision to ride the Harlem Rocket.

What happens if I am unable to arrive on time for the tour?

We ask all customers to arrive 30 minutes prior for check-in and boarding. If you will not make it on time, please call us in advance at (917) 819-6929 to reschedule. If you arrive after the tour has departed, we will not be able to offer a refund or reschedule your tour.

What happens if it rains?

For the safety of our passengers and crew, tours will be canceled if there is inclement weather. Customers are advised to follow daily weather reports. Customers will be able to reschedule tours in case of inclement weather, but there are no refunds unless we cancel the tour.

Is there an age or height requirement?

Guests must be at least 40 inches/3′-4″(102 cm) tall to board. There’s no age minimum, but children 12 and under receive child-rate tickets.

Is the Harlem Rocket a jet-powered high-speed boat?

Jet powered? No! While our tour boat may be a bit faster than some others, we will be maintaining safe speeds in our permitted navigational routes as per US Coast Guard regulations. The Harlem Rocket will provide an exciting opportunity to see New York City from a completely new perspective, while providing a safe, comfortable and memorable experience for all.

I have mobility issues, can I ride?

Guests with mobility issues should not select this tour. Unfortunately, due to the layout and seating design, the Harlem Rocket is not wheelchair accessible. All guests must be able to board unassisted.

I am prone to motion sickness, what should I do?

Guests prone to motion sickness should take precautions.

Will I get wet aboard the boat?

There are times when wind, speed and direction will affect water and sea spray which may enter the boat. Dress casually or buy a poncho at the pier if you prefer to stay dry.

How fast does the Harlem Rocket boat go?

The Harlem Rocket tour are generally between 10 knots and 20 knots (roughly 12 – 23 mph) and take place in the waterways around Manhattan and New York Harbor.

Can I bring food or drinks aboard?

No outside food or drinks are allowed. There are nearby restaurants that are accessible before or after your ride. Some restaurants may offer a discount to Harlem Rocket ticket holders.

I need help organizing a private charter for a group, were can I get more information?

I need to get a refund for tickets I purchased through a third party/Online Travel Agency (OTA). Who do I contact?

You will need to contact that third party customer service in order to get your refund, since tickets were purchased through them.

Where is the Harlem Rocket dock located?

West 125th Street on the Hudson River. Head west on 125th street and walk towards the West Harlem Piers on the Hudson River.

Where should I park?

You can park (pay for parking) at the near by parking lot on Marginal Street btwn 125th & 124th streets. There is metered parking on the local streets on 12th Avenue and West 125th & 124th streets.

How far in advance should I arrive to the dock for my tour?

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to tour departing time, please ensure online waivers are signed prior (one per participant) to check-in. We recommend arriving in advance to enjoy the local shopping, bars and restaurants by the pier. To avoid being late due to traffic, finding parking or finding our dock to check in.

Can I sign the waiver in advance?

You have agreed to the waiver at your point of purchase please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Can I bring luggage aboard?

You cannot bring luggage aboard. There is not a location that offers luggage storage services.

Can I bring a backpack or purse aboard?

Yes, you may bring a backpack or purse or similar personal item. Note: We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items you take on board or leave on land.

Do I need to wear a life jacket?

In case of emergencies, life jackets are under the seats or in approved storage locations as per US Coast Guard regulations. No life jackets are required to be worn during tours.

Can I reserve a seat?

When making a reservation, you are guaranteed a seat. Express Boarding is an additional charge which allows you to board the boat prior to General Admission ticketholders, so that you can select your preferred seat. General Admission tickets are on a first come, first served basis in terms of seating.

What should I wear?

Regular clothes/shoes, sneakers, sandals are all fine.

Are strollers or wheelchairs permitted on the Harlem Rocket?

Strollers are not permitted on the Harlem Rocket. The boat is not wheelchair/handicap accessible. We are not responsible for items left on the pier.

If I am unable to walk, is there handicap access/ramp to get to the boat?

The Harlem Rocket tour boat is not wheelchair accessible. All guests must be able to board unassisted.

Are service animals allowed?

Service animals must be on a leash and will be permitted onboard.
